More than just a skiing holiday in Allgäu...
Immerse yourself in a glittering world of ice & snow
Anyone on a holiday in the Allgäu region will be delighted by the family friendly skiing areas, the empty slopes and the short wait at the lifts and ticket offices. Just get out onto your skis and you're already on your way down the slope. Enjoy a speedy downhill run in wide swishes! The next lift is waiting for you ... but before you ride up, a cosy mountain cabin invites you in for refreshments.
As a guest in the organic Biohotel Eggensberger you will also find ideal conditions for cross-country skiing: The track network around the Hopfensee offers possibilities for classic cross-country skiing and also for sporty skating. The connections to the neighbouring track networks are seamless.
The Allgäu Aktiv agency offers numerous guided activities for skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers, snowshoe hikers – whether beginner or pro – at: www.allgaeu-aktiv.com/aktiv-im-winter/ (in German).
Relaxing winter fun
When glittering snow is falling quietly and the mountains turn into white giants, that's the best time to get to know the relaxing side of winter in the Allgäu region ... You can go on a snowshoe hike right through the untouched white and far away from the cleared paths. We'll be happy to organise guided snowshoe tours and rental equipment for you!
Or you can hike along cleared paths directly from the hotel through the enchanted winder landscape: A flat, sun-kissed circular trail around the frozen Hopfensee is just as attractive as a gently rising trail through the wintery marsh at the Enzensberg Mountain.

Winter magic & nature experiences on a skiing holiday in Allgäu

The game feeding at the Bannwaldsee Lake is a special experience. Observe up to 150 free-living deer up close. Our tip: combine the feeding with a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through the winter landscape.
Exclusively for guests at the Eggensberger

Get dressed warmly and dive into winter fun: Your host, Andreas Eggensberger, doesn't miss a single chance to play a round of curling with the guests on the frozen Hopfensee if the temperatures stay low.
Winter time is spa time

We'll warm you up: The saunas in our organic Biohotel Eggensberger are at your disposal for relaxing. Warming massages, natural cosmetics and body packs strengthen and nurture your body when the temperatures are low. A visit to the Kristalltherme Schwangau or the new Alpentherme in Reutte will lend you new energy.
